I think it's important to be unique; to write about things nobody else is - or in a style that nobody else is.
For example, I dont plan on writing a Barry Bonds bio because there are better writers who will beat me to it.
So, instead I wrote about Saudi Arabian Little Leaguers, because it was something I cared about and not many other people, as far as I could tell, were writing about it.
